Hypnotherapy for premature ejaculation could help you put the issue to bed, once and for all
Can hypnotherapy help with premature ejaculation?
Premature ejaculation can be a nightmare. It’s very common, if not nearly universal, when men first become sexually active, but can sometimes continue throughout life if not addressed.
For other men it can return, unannounced, later in life and its reappearance can be incredibly unsettling.
The good news, however, is that I have used hypnotherapy in Reading, Thame, Oxford, London (Holborn) and Wallingford to help men overcome this problem and to enjoy sex without the feeling of constant dread.
I also offer hypnotherapy online for premature ejaculation, using vsee, zoom or whatsap. Please get in touch for more details as to how this works.
Premature ejaculation, like erectile dysfunction, strikes at the heart of masculinity. As men we’d like to feel able to gain an erection and to sustain sexual performance for long enough to satisfy our partners.
To fail to do so is seen as a signal of a lack of manhood and is enormously damaging to self-esteem. Unknown to most men, however, is that an estimated 25-40% of men suffer from this problem. You are certainly not alone. The good news, however, is that you needn’t be in this club of unhappy men at all, not any more.
Premature ejaculation forms an increasingly large share of my caseload. More and more men are growing unafraid of sharing their problem with me, in order that I can help them to retrain their sensitivity, regain confidence and, finally, to enjoy a fulfilling sex-life with their partners.
If that sounds attractive as an idea then please do get in touch. I’ll be glad to help you.
Premature ejaculation becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy
Stress is a major factor in PE and the more it happens the more we expect it to happen. The more we expect it to happen the more stressed we become. In time we ‘know’ it will happen and so expect it. We begin to avoid sexual encounters (pretend headaches, working late, too tired etc etc) and this places a strain on our relationship. This, in itself, s stressful and so the cycle continues.
Traditional methods of working with premature ejaculation fall short
The traditional methods of working with PE include the stop-start method and the ‘squeeze’
The stop start method involves training to recognise the point just before ejaculation becomes inevitable and to stop thrusting at that point. The pause continues until the feeling of imminent ejaculation passes.
The squeeze method involves reaching the same point before withdrawing and squeezing wither the tip or the base of the penis until the sensation of squeezing negates the sensation of being about to come.
These methods are a valuable way of training but many complain that they interfere with the natural nature of love-making and can be stressful if the partner is not as supportive as could be wished. They also fail to address any underlying issues which can be contributory factors.
They do, however, remain a part of my practice because they can be practised alone. Working on increasing endurance when alone is a valid and valuable means of increasing confidence. Together with hypnotherapy, mindfulness, psychotherapy and another approach called ‘sensate focus’ you will learn to change your mindset, increase stamina and thus leave your problem behind you for good.
I have begun to notice that men with premature ejaculation tend to be impatient in general. It’s a slightly unfunny joke that men suffering from PE want everything done in a hurry. It’s why I have to inject a note of reality into your expectations. I do not find working with premature ejaculation to be as quick a process as can be the case with other problems such as simple phobias or smoking cessation.
Please don’t come to me unless you’re prepared for a process and are prepared to stick with it. Please see someone else if you’re looking for a one session wonder-cure. Sometimes the best things have to take time. That’s why you’re seeing me to begin with.
Why does premature ejaculation happen?
Stress, depression, guilt, relationship problems, anxiety regarding performance and overly-high levels of sexual excitement have all been indicated in the causation of premature ejaculation. If one or more of these has affected you then we’ll work on the causes as well as the symptoms.
Sometimes men will grow up believing that sex is wrong, dirty or that their desire is something to be ashamed of. Premature ejaculation can, in these cases,be a consequence of their anxiety surrounding sex and an unconscious rejection of the act.
If that is true of you then, again, your views and innermost beliefs can be adjusted, through hypnosis, in order that premature ejaculation can be resolved once and for all.
Another proposed cause is the use of pornography. The use of porn is said to be a factor where masturbation becomes hurried through the fear of being caught in the act. One can, seemingly, train oneself to experience premature ejaculation! I have found this cause to be common. Sometimes it’s the only cause and sometimes it’s just another complicating factor.
Sometimes there can be an underlying anger, aimed at the sexual partner, which lies behind the problem. I’ve had people who developed their problem after a temporary break or crisis in their relationship. Others developed the issue after a previous partner proved to be unfaithful.
Whatever the cause may be, hypnotherapy can hope to offer a solution. I look forward to helping you to set yourself free from this awful problem. All you have to do is pluck up the courage to give me a call.
How can hypnotherapy help resolve premature ejaculation?
Hypnotherapy can help in resolving those issues indicated as being possible causes of the issue at hand.
Stress, anxiety, confidence issues and depression respond well to hypnotherapy and many of the men with whom I’ve worked in Reading, Thame, Oxford and Wallingford have benefited from hypnotherapy in the resolution of these problems.
Hypnotherapy can also help in the regulation of emotions, including the elevated levels of sexual excitement commonly found in men suffering from PE.
Hypnotherapy also makes use of positive visualisation in the imagination of a successful sexual act. These methods are used by top sportsmen and women in order to create the expectation of high-level performances. What works for them could also work for you.
These, combined with more traditional methods of restoring or creating that feeling of calm expectation of a ‘solid performance’ could help you to overcome PE and wouldn’t that be worth the time and money spent? It’s certainly worth a ‘phone call to find out more, isn’t it?!
