Feel fitter, smell better, be healthy! Stop smoking with hypnotherapy!
I bet that once upon a time you felt as if you looked as sexy and glamorous as the girl in the picture below. Perhaps you did look that good. After all, you were younger then and attitudes to smoking were different to how they are now. Smoking used to be fun when you could sit in a warm pub and weren’t banished to the rain and wind outside.
Smoking was once the thing to do if you wanted to fit in. Everybody did it. I’ve heard it all so many times, in Reading, Oxford, Wallingford, London and Thame. None of those cool, formerly teenage smokers I see ever imagined they’d be paying for hypnotherapy later on in life.
It felt cool to be a smoker, once. How does it feel now?
Smoking was rebellion and all your friends smoked anyway. Now you’re in the minority, shivering outside, whilst conversations continue within.
Now you’re the lone smoker feeling self-conscious about the smell on your clothes and breath when you come in from the cold. Now you’re the lone smoker wondering whether your gums are receding too rapidly due to smoking.
Now, instead of revelling in how cool it looks, you begin to fret that some of those lines and wrinkles could have been avoided with a healthier lifestyle. Wouldn’t it be great to stop!? Well, you can and hypnotherapy could help you.
Now, perhaps, you’re one of the only smokers left in your social circle and you’re beginning to realise that you might not be invincible after all. Bad things don’t only happen to others, after all, and you’re not as young as you were.
Our health begins to matters a little more as age creeps upon us. Smoking just isn’t cool anymore. it’s not much fun. It doesn’t even help us to relax. That was always just a con trich which tobacco and our brains conspired to play upon us. There is no genuine reason to continue with a habit which costs so much, take even more and gives nothing in return.
Don’t wait until Stoptober. Do it now!
It’s easy to stop smoking – honestly!
People who smoke like to believe that giving up is a difficult process. Some studies have suggested that nicotine is one of the most addictive substances on the planet and people who smoke often cling to this belief as a reason to delay their struggle. “I’ll give up next week.” Now isn’t a good time.”
The fact is, as all people who smoke know in their hearts, there is never a good time and so now, in reality, is as good a time as any. I have used hypnotherapy in Reading, Wallingford, Thame, London and Oxford to help people stop smoking. You could be the next one to do so!
It’s easy to stop smoking. You’ve simply conditioned yourself to expect to fail. You failed in the past because you didn’t want it badly enough. Perhaps your partner was nagging you. Perhaps you just felt as if you ‘should’. Success is very difficult when your heart isn’t in it.
If you truly wish to stop smoking and only the fear of cravings and failure holds you back, that’s the right time to give me a call.
Please bear in mind, however, that you need to truly want to stop. The mere thought that you ‘should’ stop aren’t effective as a motivator. You’ve always known that you ought not to waste your time on such a habit.
Please also bear in mind that the two session smoking cessation model only applies if you’re otherwise fighting fit emotionally. If smoking is a genuine crutch for those who face problems with chronic stress, anxiety or depression, more work will be required. You can’t give up a crutch, after all, if your leg is broken.
When you’re simply determined and truly want to achieve that goal. it’s easy!
What’s stopping you from stopping? Are you too fond of that fantastic high which tobacco gives you? Addicted to that ‘cool’ look, the lovely ‘cat’s arse’ lines forming around your mouth? Is the smell too good to give up? Are you afraid that your friends will drop you if you stop stinking? Do you have too much money and have nothing better to do with a few thousand pounds per year?
I didn’t think so. You can stop smoking and hypnotherapy could help you!
Smoking is a habit. It may be a compelling habit but a skilled hypnotherapist works to eliminate habits, replacing them with different thought patterns, different responses and all whilst helping you to resolve whatever psychological processes led you to believe that you actually depended on such a habit.
You may well find, after two sessions of smoking cessation hypnotherapy, that you have no cravings whatsoever, that you have no urge to smoke, that your unconscious mind will remind you – when you find yourself in situations in which you would have once lit up, that you are now a non-smoker.
It’s not as if smoking ever did anything for you anyway. Smoking is the greatest lie of all time. You don’t look cool, you don’t look sophisticated. You’re exiled from the group, out in the cold. You stink and you’ve already wasted thousands of pounds. Oh. It kills you too.
Having a habit which kills you isn’t even the worst of it. Perhaps you have loved ones. Perhaps you’d like to imagine having to tell them that your cancer has been diagnosed as being terminal – that you’ll soon be leaving them and all because you preferred a useless habit to enjoying a healthier, longer and happier life with them.
Of all the things I ever do with a client who wishes to stop a habit, having them imagine themselves telling their family that they are going to die is one of the most powerful.
Perhaps you’d like to behave and feel as a non-smoker. Smoking does nothing for you, in all reality, and only risks leaving your family in tears.
Let’s say that again: you will behave and feel as if you are a non-smoker, not an ex-smoker.
Smoking cessation was my route into training as a hypno-psychotherapist. I consider myself to have a strong
will but smoking defeated me every single time. In the end I did manage to kick cigarettes but became “addicted,” instead, to nicotine lozenges.
After ninety minutes of hypnotherapy I gave up the habit. I am now a non-smoker and look forward to helping others achieve the same goal. You could give up smoking too, for good.
If you can search your mind and see that there is no good reason to continue smoking. If you’d like to feel fitter, smell better, save money and enjoy a longer life around those you love, contact me here.
I offer warm, professional and effective hypnotherapy for smoking cessation in Reading, Oxford, Thame and Wallingford. If you’d like to stop smoking through hypnotherapy then give me a call. I’d be glad to talk with you.
Of course, you could just carry on until you have COPD. I’ve been working with a person who is suffering from this disease. They’ve just stopped smoking. Of course, it’s now sadly too late to save her ability to walk more than a few metres at a time without running out of breath. This client will recover to an extent but she will always be crippled by COPD.
You see, an early death is by no means the worst thing which could happen.
Stop now and save yourself and your family years of grief.
The benefits of stopping smoking are almost instant. Look at the table and see how very quickly the benefits begin to rack up after just a few hours.
What could you do with a little more energy?
Within days my clients report feeling more energetic. Their food tastes better and they even snore less. Going to the gym becomes more productive, the stairs seem less threatening and life generally seems better.
What’s more, using hypnotherapy can mean that cravings are fewer, milder and further between.
Clients come to realise that they are more involved conversations with friends and family. They don’t have to miss chunks of companionship in order to indulge their useless habit outside.
Clients come to see that they have been liberated and they often send their other smoking friends and family to me for hypnotherapy for smoking cessation. I sometimes have entire chains of people on the go, each referring on somebody else. You may not only be saving your own life and health but also that of your friends and family.
What have you got to lose except for a nasty, expensive and worthless habit?
A recent British Journal of Psychiatry study followed nearly 500 smokers attending NHS stop smoking clinics in England. It found a “significant” decrease in anxiety levels among the 68 smokers who had quit after six months.
Those who smoke because it eases stress are actually mistaken. It doesn’t. It’s an absence of
nicotine which causes a smoker to feel stress and smoking restores nicotine levels to their “normal” levels causing the smoker to feel as if stress has left them. Furthermore, the first thing a smoker will do upon lighting that eagerly awaited cigarette is to inhale deeply – then exhaling in a leisurely fashion.
Why not take that nice relaxing breath without the smoke? You could stop smoking with hypnotherapy in Reading, Wallingford or Didcot today! The study shows you’d feel even more relaxed!
Smoking causes the average smoker’s heart to take an extra 10,000 beats per day. How relaxing does that sound? You could learn to feel more relaxed as a non-smoker than you ever did as a smoker. How’s that for an idea? If you would like to hear more then please do feel to contact me. I’d be glad to hear from you.
Best wishes
